We have been learning about community. On Friday we were able to talk with a Washington County Sheriff and learn about the many different ways they help our community!
The first few weeks have been quite a blur! We are spending time getting to know each other, building our classroom community, and starting to see how our classroom works! We have done many fun activities in our classroom, as well as, as a whole 3rd and 4th grade team! We have been slowly adding in different parts of our curriculum as we get further into the year.
Dear Students, Parents or Guardians,
I hope everyone had a healthy, happy summer vacation. I hope everyone is getting as excited as I am for the start of school. I am looking forward to meeting each of you, if I haven’t already! For the first day of school I would like you to bring something to show what you did over the summer. This can be a picture or a small item.
Every morning we will have time for a healthy morning snack, which should be brought from home. Feel free to bring juice or water as well, but please avoid bringing in soda. It would be wonderful if every student came with a water bottle for the day to keep at school.
Our classroom have plenty of supplies to start the year, if you would like to bring in your own pencils, markers or other supplies that would be fine. Please bring a composition notebook with you to use throughout the school year. You may choose your own color or design, it’s up to you! We will be creating some wonderful writing pieces this year so get ready!
This coming year, you are going to be part of a wonderful 3/4 team. Mrs. Ainslie, Mrs. Scott, and I will be sharing the job of teaching you. We are going to learn many new things. I can’t wait to explore Vermont and other interesting subjects with each and every one of you. We will also be continuing our ECO program and I will get the schedule and more information out to you soon.
The best way to find out what is going on in our classroom is through our classroom website at http://mshicks34.weebly.com/. This website is also linked to the TUS school page. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your summer and I look forward to seeing you soon! Bring a smile!
